won't let go till it bleeds

and it did
all over her white dress
blossomed on her freshly washed linen
and somehow
cut her soft flesh that lay underneath

its done now
she let go
but now her heart bleeds
an unforeseen consequence
of this forced acton

for what was she to do?
it was killing her
from the inside out
from the outside in
death in a kiss

and so, she ended it
lost it all again
gained it all again

but was what she's gained better than what she's lost
and what has she lost?
that pain
that companionship
and what has she gained?
a freedom
a loneliness

her heart is breaking with his pain
does he know that he's hurting her?
even now...

and yet it is a vicious circle
as her hurt is caused by his
so is his hurt caused by her
someone had to break the tie
someone's has to really walk away

and the saddest part of this story
is that is will happen again.
